Emotional Freedom Technique
Emotional Freedom Technique (E.F.T) is a psychological acupressure technique which optimises your emotional health. It works on your body’s energy pathways (meridians) the same pathways used by traditional chinese medicine for over 5,000 years. Simple tapping with the fingertips is used on specific acupressure points at the end of the meridian pathways which are situated on the head, chest and fingers. While tapping you connect and feel your emotions in connection with a specific problem — often the problem is connected to a challenging relationship with another or with yourself, e.g. I feel this intense anger when …. acts this way, or I feel I’m not good enough. Feelings can also be expressed as a pain somewhere in the body e.g headache or back pain. By balancing the energy flow you will become calmer, more focused and be able to deal with difficult situations better. Although it is still often overlooked, emotional health is essential to your physical health and healing — no matter how well your lifestyle and diet are, you will not achieve your body’s ideal healing and preventative powers if emotional barriers stand in your way.
This is an excellent self-help tool, which stimulates emotional release and self-healing. Empowering you to relieve emotional stress and anguish at times of shock, worry or throughout a difficult time or challenge.
